I’ve always been one to get stressed out over work, and so I am always on the lookout for a good stress-buster. Mt latest technique is to take a guided meditation, if listened to uninterrupted I find it is an absolutely great way to relax and push work to the back of my mind. Yesterday’s meditation, however, was far from relaxing. Two minutes into my guided meditation, just as I am getting nicely comfortable there was a knock on the door – the delivery man I’d forgotten about. Just after settling back in to my meditation and my mobile phone goes off. Having dealt with that it was back to my meditation. Ten minutes later and completely relaxed it was time for the landline. This did not end up being my most relaxing meditation but I have learnt that a little bit of preparation goes a long way – switch off anything that will disturb me and put my headphones on!
