Today is the day I write about the clowns that run the Embassy in Manila.  My Step Daughter has been the victim of one of the most discusting experiences I have ever witnessed.  She applied for a Visitor's Visa to come over and visit her Mother,  only to be told that just because she is enrolled in school,  owns a house and car, and manages her finances better than most,  she is "unlikey to return".

That is an interesting statement.  Until a person has visited overseas and spent time with the local people,  they generally don't realize that most people from other countries have no desire to come to the US and stay.  For that matter,  many of my friends in Asia, Europe, and South America have no desire to come here at all.  These are not some poor farmers or beggers either.  These are people who are well educated and traveled.

Why do so many people from other countries hate America?  They don't hate Americans,  the Country.  Why is that you say?

I think it is because of the image that the very people we hire to represent us to the world do a piss poor job of it.  Don't believe me?  Go into an embassy anywhere in the world and listen to how the intake workers there talk to people.  They constantly bitch about being overworked but on more than one trip,  I've seen these clowns make a mad dash out of the Embassy at 1 in teh afternoon so they could get back to their little ex-patriot compound and get a quick tumble in with their house maids before their wives get home.  Isn't that how it works Deputy Director of NIV in Manila?

Next month I name names and post pictures.  Stay tuned!
