Are you into creating excellence? Giving of your best to your website visitors. Well may be that all encompassing focus on doing the very best you can is holding you back. At some point you just have to let it go and say “That’s it, I’m going to publish and be damned’ There’s no need for everything you do to be 100% original. In fact even the best marketers on the planet freely admit that most of the work they do is not ‘original’. They just take someone else’s idea and re-purpose it. After all, if it has been proven to work once , why change a winning formula.
We are constantly to test, test and test again. Few of us have the time to do this so the next best thing is to ’swipe’ an idea that has already been tested and shown to work. Just don’t be too obvious about it. After all, if you want to become an ace copywriter, the quickest way is to get hold of some long form sales letters that have sold millions of $$$ worht of product and copy them out longhand with pencil and paper.
If you wish to succeed then you must model [copy] someone who is already successful. Use the same strategies and tactics; follow every move they make. I’m not suggesting you become a stalker but if you choose a handful of the leading brains in your niche and liberally borrow their ideas, you have the chance to synthesize what you learn, put your own spin on it and come up with something that appears to the whole world as something totally new and remarkable.
Just remember that your product just has to be better than all the rest when you first launch it. It does not have to be excellent, just better. You can always come back to it and produce the 2.0 version later
