I want to talk a little about antioxidants. Antioxidants come from very nutrient rich foods and now there are many supplements that are rich in antioxidants. They help fight the oxidation of the body which happens from all the things listed above… as well as from aging. And they also give a very strong boost to your immune system.
In very simple terms, antioxidants battle free radicals by making them weaker. This takes place on a microscopic level where the antioxidant will lose an electron to the free radical making it considerably weaker. This process protects the body from the free radical and allows the immune system to gain strength.
To get these antioxidants you need to really up the number fruits and mainly veggies in your diet. It helps if you keep your mind wide open to new veggies because there are so many out there that taste great, but now enough people even know about them.
