But that’s where it can get bad. If you workout too much then you will cause what’s called overtraining. Overtraining takes place when your body does not have enough time to fully recover from a workout and you continue to workout.

Remember that when you exercise, if you’re exercising correctly, you are causing tears in your muscle that when repaired cause new lean muscle to appear increasing your metabolism. But if you’re working out before your body can repair those tears then you are causing more damage to your body… and if you continue to workout you are in fact destroying your body.

This can cause sickness, depression, broken bones, mood swings, and all sorts of really negative side affects. So know that rest is just as much part of the fitness game as actually working out. I just have read that a good and upbeat music encourages you to get on and have fun with your workouts, especially those that you find dragging and boring.
