Teleprompter Training Tip #38: The Finished Produc

So you’ve recorded your message and you want to see the end result.

The first emotion you’ll have going over the playback is vanity. No need to fuss yourself about this – it’s a perfectly normal reaction and happens to everybody.

You’ll probably think you look and sound a bit weird. This is perfectly normal for a very simple reason. The view you usually see of yourself is an image reflected in a mirror, not how the world actually sees you. It can be strange at first to see your left side where you’re used to seeing your right side and vice versa.

Some camera angles may also distort your appearance. You might fool yourself into thinking you look unwell or have put on weight.

Becoming accomplished at presenting means observing yourself critically . . … not negatively, but critically. Go over your performance and correct any uncomfortable habits.

Don’t go over your delivery scanning for details. The name of the game is a sincere delivery.

They say the truth is reflected in the eyes. Are you fixated by the scrolling texts or making a dull, boring delivery? Are you shuffling? Are you loosing eye contact?

The point here is to get a real overview of your performance. The key objective is to deliver your presentation like you really believe in what you’re saying.

When you are ready to bring your presentations in-house, use professional teleprompter software . . . it will make a huge difference to the success of your production.
